About You
It is important to feel comfortable with your massage therapist. Please ask questions or share concerns whenever they come up, such as the massage techniques used, personal philosophy of healing, or experience and training. You are the expert on your healing. I may suggest approaches, but you control the direction and pace of each massage, which may change from one time to the next. If there are any areas you would prefer not to include in your session, be sure to let me know prior to the start of your session. If while during your session you experience pleasure or discomfort, tell me to either continue or stop.
Your Program
On your first visit you will be asked to provide information about your past and current health, including any medications you are taking. Please complete the Massage Therapy Client Intake Form and Consent Form before getting your massage. This information will be used by me to develop a program, which will focus on your problem area, along with other areas that may be related. This may include, but not limited to, specific forms of stretching and strengthening of muscles, some forms of hydrotherapy, and if necessary, a recommendation to a chiropractor for manipulation and/or nutritional care. Together we will establish a program to provide immediate as well as lasting benefits to your health.
